How to check it
Read the official rulesAt the close we freeze the list: every entry gets a number from 1 to N and a code you can see in the bot with /drop.
Before 9:00 on 22 December we publish N and the fingerprint: the SHA-256 hash that seals the list file. From then on the list cannot change without it showing.
That same day the El Gordo ball comes out. Its number, with its five digits, unlocks the fingerprint: winning number = (SHA-256 of «fingerprint:gordo» mod N) + 1. The substitutes come from «fingerprint:gordo:1» and «fingerprint:gordo:2».
We publish the list without personal data: find your code, check that its SHA-256 matches the fingerprint and redo the sum to see who won.
The fingerprint
At the close we seal the list with a code (SHA-256 hash) and publish it on 22 December before 9:00. If anyone touched the list, the code would change.
The El Gordo ball
The number on the ball of the first prize of the Spanish Christmas Lottery, on 22 December. Nobody knows it beforehand, not even us.
The winner
That number unlocks the fingerprint: hashing the two together gives the winning number, and the published list shows whose it is.
